A patient there was also visited. Mang Mario deserves a special mention. He is a middle-age man, and for me, holds a surprising record. He has spinal cord injury C1-C2 level for twelve years now and respirator-dependent! Based on our conversation with his wife he seldom develop pneumonia (a blessing), has no pressure sores (a real feat), but develops frequent UTI (well, this is a common problem for persons with SCI). These things reflect a lot of how good Mang Mario's family support system is and the efficiency of attending hospital staff.
