Date: February 23, 2010 Objectives: 1. To introduce life haven independent living center. 2. To know the general condition of the visited person with disability. 3. To know what help/assistance life haven independent living center can extend to the visited person with disability. 4. To encourage the visited person with disability to join the activities of life haven independent living center. Venue: (Policarpio dela Paz) # 26 a. Pablo st. Karuhatan Valenzuela City Participants: Abner Manlapaz, Teody Auxilian & Eric Dy Outcome: Policarpio warmly welcomed the LHILC staff. All the objectives were met. The center provide Policarpio a wheelchair for his mobility. Now, he can move around with ease. Evaluation: Policarpio is very active as father to his children and as husband. Her wife is working to support their family while Policarpio is responsible for their household chores including taking caring of their children. Policarpio express his wanting to earn money to add to their household income. Unfortunately, he could not find any opportunity that best suits their situation. He also shows interest to join organization of persons with disabilities to improve the plight of persons with disabilities. We notice his vast experience (although limited to their community) and he shown self confidence in everything he does. |
