Rally about violation of RA7277 on Commission on Human Rights

Date:                              July 19, 2010   Objectives:   To express our negative feelings about the violation of RA7277 and of the rights of persons with disabilities committed by the guilty drug stores.   Venue: Commission on Human Rights, Commonwealth, Quezon City   Participants: Abner Manlapaz, Teody Auxilian, Jun Bernandino, Ericzon Dy and many other persons with disabilities from other DPOs.   Outcome: The rally caught attention of the public and officials of the Commission on Human Rights. We got support and coverage from the media. The group also filed a complaint to the commission about the violation in the implementation of the 20% discount for persons with disabilities and the accessibility law.   Evaluation: The commission on election call the attention of all the government agencies concerned in the complain letter. The agencies were asked to respond and rectify the wrong doings the government committed.
